A meeting point for creatives to cultivate and promote current, past, and future film students in the media industry. The platform is designed for the students by students, where aspiring filmmakers can find inspiration, impart knowledge and experience, connect, and share unbiased critiques.
It’s a stress free, happy environment for the student community. We offer a film library for past films and a monthly film festival dedicated to enrolled students to showcase their work with honors going to the best film. Let’s help each other break into the film industry, sell scripts, and fund our projects.
At Film Chronicle, we believe the student community needs to come together. Our current system has sheltered us from the indie and rising film stars. As a result, there are too many student films gone unnoticed. The goal is to break the cycle and give students the fame earlier on in their careers.
By offering a 100% free service for students at any school to participate and know their films will circulate among other students–we’re able to commune together without having to jump through corporate hoops and have our works of art reach a wider audience.
Though only college student shorts can be submitted for competition in the main festival, non-college students can submit the work to be viewed on our site. Feel free to watch the shorts and vote for your favorites.
As a festival, we are looking to ensure that the next generation of filmmakers can successfully bring their visions to life regardless of where they go to school. We welcome all film majors, from those who attend film schools across the board.
